Word of the Week: Katrina von Cat the Master of Wisdom and Knowledge has more ATTRIBUTES than we can count.

Word of the Week: ATTRIBUTE

Are you ready for the free printables? Visit Kid Lit Printables to find these free printables:

  • ATTRIBUTE vocabulary word cube
  • ATTRIBUTE petal book: place an attribute about yourself on each petal.
  • Word of the Week Mini Poster courtesy of the Muhlenberg Elementary Center
  • Word of the Week blank page to fill out

Now tell us, how will you use the word attribute this week? Have you seen it used anywhere? Is your school using these words? What fun activities do you have for the word? I want to know and so do my friends - please share your creations and let us know if you are using our printables - that makes us happy!

If you and/or your family completes an activity, we would love to see a picture of it, or hear all about it. You may do this in the comments below; on our Facebook page; on Twitter (use the hashtag #kidlitwow); pinterest; Google+ - truly, anywhere you want to tell the world with gusto!

International Dot Day Linky - Share your posts here!

Thank you for reading and sharing,

Katrina von Cat the Master of Wisdom and Knowledge

Happy International Dot Day!

Today is the day!

We are huge fans of anything that encourages creativity and that is what this day, International Dot Day, is all about.

Update: We added a Dot Day Linky below where you can add your blog post link!

We did write a post about International Dot Day, back in August, for our friends who may not have been aware of this fantastic day. Mr. Reynolds was kind enough to visit our blog and let us know he enjoyed our post. We are still thrilled about that! So much so that we are sharing it again with you... :)

As promised, Cool Mom requested the book, The Dot,  from the library for us and we all agree that it is an absolutely fantastic picture book. Peter Reynolds' drawings are perfection. The book's message is simple yet powerful and one that is dear to our heart. We adore the book and highly recommend it to all ages.

The Dot is about embracing your creativity and learning to find it in yourself even when you believe it isn't there. Can it get any better than that?

We would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Terry Shay for beginning International Dot Day back on September 15, 2009.  This year, International Dot Day easily reached the goal of well over one million participants.

There are incredible projects/activities/ideas on how you may celebrate this day all over the internet. What is your favorite social media outlet ? They all have #dotday projects..

     Pinterest?
     Facebook?
     Google+?
     Twitter?

                       ...and so much more!

Speaking of fun activities, one available activity is to make your DOT come to life in 3-D by using the free colAR app. Seriously. It is a fun project! We spent some time creating our own 3-D dots.

Now, as promised.... our finished Dots:

Finally, the question we have for you...are you participating in International Dot Day?

Let us know in the comments below or add your post to our linky below. Have fun!

As always, thank you for reading and sharing,
