Today is Multicultural Children's Book Day: Celebrating Diversity in Children's Literature

Today is the day, yippee! The very first ever Multicultural Children’s Book Day: Celebrating Diversity in Children's Literature. Thanks to co-creators Mia Wenjen from Pragmatic Mom, and Valarie Budayr from Jump Into a Book/Audrey Press; along with the paw-tastic sponsors  Wisdom Tales PressLee & Low BooksChronicle Books, and Susan Daniel Fayad: Author of  My Grandfather’s Masbaha.

We are thrilled and honored to be one of the bloggers participating in this event. Our "official" post came out last week and included a review of the most gorgeous picture book, "Josephine."

Cool Mom thought it would be fun to also point out that Four Fiends, a book she reviewed for us a while back, would also be a great Multicultural book worth exploring. She really enjoyed this book. You can read Cool Mom's review of The Four Fiends right here.

Are you as overwhelmed with the resources from this day, as this kitty is? If that is the case, be sure to follow the Multicultural Books for Kids board on Pinterest, so you have them available to you when the time is right for you.

Guess what? The super humans at
Pragmatic Mom Jump Into a Book are giving away 10 Books from Barefoot Books! Be sure to enter their Giveaway.

We invite you to leave us a comment.
We love to hear from our visitors.
Are you participating in Multicultural Children's Book Day? Do you have a favorite Multicultural Book? What is the weather like where you are? (It is too cold for this kitty, here.)

Thank you for reading and sharing,
