Update: As of June 2015, our Author is no longer scheduling Author visits (in person or virtual) . Thanks for stopping by.
What better way to inspire your class to write than with a child author? Our young author is in Chester County, Pennsylvania (USA) and is available for a limited amount of author visits/signings local to our area, throughout the year.
Her strength is with grades 2 through 6.
Author visits are free of charge at this time. She simply requests that attendees have the option to purchase a copy of her book (which will be signed) prior to the scheduled visit.
What to expect at a typical author visit:
- Neighbor Girl will read the first chapter of our book, The Perpetual Papers of the Pack of Pets. When available, she will bring along a guest reader to play the part of Stanley. Do you have a student who may want to fill this role? Let us know!
- She will share a bit about our book and her writing process - she has finished her second book!
- Lead a group creative writing activity.
- Answer questions.
Extra Resources
- Did you know that we have a printable activity books to go along with our book? We do! Download them for free from kidlitprintables.com. Go there now.
- Katrina also has weekly Word of the Week activities available, as well.
